Shaving Cream & Food Color Easter Eggs

I saw something on Pinterest that showed being able to color eggs with Shaving Cream & food color. I thought it looked fun so I let the girls give it a whirl.  It was a little messy (not horrible), the girls hands are slightly stained (a good majority of the color came off in a bubble bath) and I'm quite sure we ruined a couple of tops BUT the girls had a blast & the eggs turned out pretty darn cool!  Success I say!

(We did buy gloves to use, but the ended up being to big for the girls so we just went for it)

Shaving cream & drops of food coloring (I used WAAAAY too much shaving cream)
Swirl together
Roll the eggs
Right after this picture Aliya leaned over her mixture...
Stained belly
Let sit for a couple hours & then rinse
Some turned out better then others but overall the marbling effect was really cool & the color is vibrant (more so then the pictures project).

Toothless

August - November

Six down & a couple loose now.  Mommy loves a toothless grin... especially those 2 front teeth.  Ahhh if only you could stay like that forever.

Neener Neener Chicken Dinner

  • Rotisserie Chicken
  • Can or two of Kidney Beans
  • Pkg of Taco Seasoning (or Fajita Seasoning if you prefer) I've tried both, I like taco better!
  • Whatever "taco/fajita" fixings you prefer.  I chose grilled onions, leafy lettuce, tomatoes, cheese & sour cream / chips, shells, tortillas etc.

Ohhhh & did I mention super INEXPENSIVE & really EASY for last minute.  I fed 5 adults & 5 kids for about $15 --- this was with a Costco chicken so of course everything at Costco is larger then most.  All in all this took less then 20 minutes start to finish.

I started with a rotisserie chicken.  Dump in a can (or two depending on the size of the chicken) of kidney beans & a pkg of taco seasoning (with a little water to dissolve the seasoning pkg)
I grilled up some onions for myself (no one else in my family likes them.)
I layered it all up... chips for crunch, lettuce, tomato, onions, shredded cheese, chicken mixture & top off with sour cream.
The rest of my family wanted tacos...
